Reflecting on 2023

From Racheal Faulks, President, Ascension Wisconsin Foundation

Every year, it seems like time goes by fast and faster. Looking back on 2023, there are a few words that can encapsulate what our year consisted of: hope, innovation, togetherness, inspiration and passion.

Donor support to Ascension Wisconsin Foundation provided hope and healing to the hundreds of thousands of patients that we are privileged to care for. With your help, funding was put toward supporting innovative care and treatment across the state. We saw our four foundations merge to one, creating a sense of togetherness and inspiration as we continue to make an impact at all Ascension Wisconsin sites from Racine to Appleton.

Finally, one thing — among many — remained noticeably unwavering: the passion and drive of our donors. For that, we are incredibly thankful.

Every gift — whether it was directed toward Ascension Wisconsin sites in Appleton, the Greater Milwaukee area, Oshkosh or Racine — directly supported patient care. The below quotes are from patients that benefitted from care made possible through donor support to Ascension Wisconsin Foundation.

Thank you

While 2023 was a year of many things, it was also a year of change as we formed a unified Ascension Wisconsin Foundation. Throughout it all, you remained steadfast in your passion of helping our patients. You made it possible for every patient across Ascension Wisconsin to receive the care they deserve. While we can't thank you enough, our providers also wanted to share their gratitude:

“Behavioral health is at the core of overall health, and we recognize that every person requires a different approach to treatment. Thanks to your support of Ascension Wisconsin Foundation, we are able to ensure that all patients can receive the care that they need to heal their mind, body and spirit.”

— Chintan Desai, MD, MSHI, CPE, Chief Medical Officer, Ascension Wisconsin
